Was speaking with an acquaintance of mine who has his heart set on a 350Z and plans on getting it by spring. He told me my Escort GT and Civic Si hatch that I owned in the past didn't count. Well I need a back seat because somehow I always end up running someone of the family around so I figured why not take a look at a G35 and see how those prices are looking. Wellllll the coupe no longer interests me because I found out I could get a sedan with a 6=speed MT and RWD. This would be perfect to chase around my dad in his Vette with. Epic track days shall be had.

And they can be head with low mileage for a great price. Can't bit sport with a nice blend of luxury.

Well I was told this by someone who admittedly isn't a car guy. He wants a 350Z Auto simply because of looks. And I will own my V12 one day. It'll probably be an Aston because their depreciation knows no bounds.

If they are like their 350 and 370 brethren, they have a lot of trouble with overheating at the track...

Hmmm. Must do some research on said issues. Track use would be occasional. Oppo is ever so lovely in presenting problems I know nothing of that's why I bring it up on here. I wonder how the overheating can be solved...

I already own a coupe, do I win?

Well I would assume so but who knows. According to him my hatches didn't count. Actually he may have been onto something. A two-door hatchback doesn't count as a coupe does it? What year is your Accord?

Would a Sports Activity Coupe count?

I've got an 05 350Z, Daytona Blue, 6MT that I'd be willing to sell, don't suppose your friend is in western Canada? I've had it for five months now, and although it's a blast, it's just not right for me.

Nope sorry to but a coupe has 2 doors. Much contrary to Ze Germans beliefs apparently. Besides I've driven an X6. Imagine driving one with those blind spots and no rearview camera...

Unfortunately not and he can't drive a manual. What don't you like about it?

So much focus on precision and they still can't classify their vehicles correctly.

I don't really know. It's fun to drive, accelerates great, responsive steering, been totally mechanically reliable, the two-seats-and-small-trunk is more than enough space for a single guy,...

It just has no character.

Excellent cars, but not track worthy. The coupe could be more easily tracked, but the 350/370Z would be a better choice.

Don't get a G35 when you can just as easily get a G37 with extra power.

Just checked to see what performance and power difference between the two. Not much if any. Their the same exact size wheelbase and all. The G37 finds an extra 20hp with at 7000RPM. So I would have to push rather hard to find that difference. Not 100% sold on this car just yet. If a G8 GT or GXP is available within my budget towards the end of the year I'm definitely leaning toward that. Possibly will also consider a GTO.

Don't look for a G35/37 expecting a true luxury experience. They ride rough and choppy, lots of plastic (and leather, but god the plastic), and the engines aren't smooth at all. The good part is they're quick as hell for the price.

Nope not going into it looking for major luxury just a touch of it. It's like raw luxury more than anything else which is fine by me. I want something fun to drive, decent looking and is relatively quick.

I mean, they're quick and fun to drive, but Infiniti's idea of "sporty" is "rough and choppy". The leather seats are comfy though.

That's fine enough for me. Trust me it'd be a great improvement over the hoopties I'm used to driving. Also I've never had leather. Need it once to at least say I've had it. It'd be my 7th car, I think I've earned a little luxury by now. Then I'll get bored with it, sell it and move on to the next toy. This car buying thing is a disease.
